Biomni is an AI system. Its responses, reports, figures, and code are generated by AI models. On deployments that enable EU AI Act transparency controls, Biomni also marks this output in machine-readable ways. This page explains those markers and how anyone can check for them, free of charge.
These markers are enabled per deployment. If you are unsure whether your workspace has them, ask your administrator or contact support.

Checking a download

The labels are HTTP response headers, so check them while downloading from Biomni. For a file download link, this fetches the file (GET), prints the headers, and discards the body:
For a ZIP downloaded while signed in, use your browser’s network inspector and look at the download request’s response headers. For an image, upload it to contentcredentials.org/verify or run the open-source c2patool:

Limits

  • File labels and download headers exist only on the response from Biomni. They are not written into the file, so a saved copy, even an unchanged one, does not carry them.
  • Marks embedded in the content (C2PA in images, text watermarks) travel with it, but re-saving, converting, screenshotting, or copying text into another document can remove them.
  • Text watermarks may not survive heavy editing, paraphrasing, or translation. A missing marker does not prove that content was written by a person.
  • Files you upload yourself are never marked.
